Everyone thought the whiffleball game was the most entertaining part of the day. People that don't usually get a lot of exercise were blended in with athletic types. The plastic ball was a good equalizer. We ate a lot of food, talked, and shared old pictures and stories. These ingredients of a family reunion blended nicely with the good weather to make for a very enjoyable day.
   Activities do not a family reunion make. They are what you do at a reunion. What made our family reunion was the coming together because we have ancestors and names in common.
   The greatest family reunion in human history is already in the planning stages. When Jesus Christ returns, His family, His followers, will meet Him in the air. We will meet because of a blood relationship, the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and because of the common name, "Christian". We "shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thess. 4:17).
    Will you have a part in that great reunion? Since you don't know when the call to it may come, you should prepare for it today by joining the family. You can be born again into that family by talking to God about putting your faith in Jesus Christ.
