My
youngest are in a "make-it-yourself" mode again. In the past they
have made things like cars, planes and guns out of paper and cardboard. This
time they have set up a "computer" on the desk in their room.
To their old real (and broken) keyboard they have added a cardboard monitor and
computer case. A play stopwatch serves as the mouse and some pieces of old
phone cord make for great connecting wires. The screen even has drawings that look like icons. A mouse pointer is in the middle. Daniel even has a portable "flattop" computer as well! Their mom drew some floppy disks for them to cut out. I cautioned them not to try and plug any of this into REAL electricity. No matter how realistic my two young inventors can make their computer look, it will never run. It's just a facade and a toy. It's fundamentally no different than the cardboard models used now days to show how a computer desk might look A false Savior is like a cardboard computer. Paul declared "there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). All others are fakes. No matter how much effort someone puts into dressing them up to look like they are the real thing, only Jesus can be the necessary mediator for you with God. Have you responded to the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as your mediator ?
