I stood
unnoticed gazing out a window at
Ben, Daniel and several neighbor kids when I observed our driveway parking
pad was getting peppered
with gravel. Ben tossed another handful just as I was about to speak out
against the activity. I called out the window telling him to stop and
he said, "Daniel did it." That
turned out to be bad timing for Ben!
Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to
take responsibility for our mistakes and sins? The Bible clearly teaches
that we all do have to
stand before God someday to take responsibility. He was watching!
The good news is we can appear before Him
declared to be without sin. Jude's benediction reveals in verse
24 that we can do so "blameless,
with great joy." Ben wasn't blameless or too happy when he had to answer
to me for his lie.
You can be declared blameless by admitting your
sin to God and accepting the cleansing He offers because of the death
of Jesus Christ. God's
love makes this possible. We can indeed be joyful when we meet Him in
eternity.
Why not trust in Jesus right
now? His sacrifice to make you blameless before God is complete
and just waiting for you to place your faith in Jesus for your salvation.
