We
woke up this morning to a beautiful site for our area. A gentle rain was drizzling
over our canyon. The humidity was up to a whopping 74% and you could almost see
stuff greening up in response.
Now as a rule, I am not a fan of drizzling moisture. I like it dry,
as I have associated sinus problems when the damp rainy days come around. But
we are still enduring a drought in Colorado, so moisture, whatever way it comes,
is welcome. A rain like we had this morning soaks into the ground with little
runoff. It may not be the most pleasant looking or feeling to me, but it is a
great blessing.
Lamentations
3:22-23 says, "The LORD'S loving kindnesses indeed
never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great
is Your faithfulness."
Sometimes I have to remind myself that in spite of how it looks
or feels around me, God is still passing out those blessings. His loving kindnesses
never cease. In fact, it may seem like a dark and dreary slow time with nothing
exciting happening, but the blessings are still "drizzling" down.
When you look out life's window today, take heed that although
blessings may not seem to be falling fast, they "never cease." He renews them
daily!
