There
are some days when I am just not sure what to do with my time. It's been a very
long time since I felt bored. I have so much to do that I'm torn as to what I
should do today.
You may struggle with the same thing. It seems the more time saving
devices we own, the less free time we have. There is something about saving time
that just doesn't work well in the long run. If things do click, a vacuum is created
that something else floods into!
Can you imagine the life that Jeremiah set out on? In Jeremiah
1:5 he records God's words to him, "Before
I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed
you as a prophet to the nations."
From the time Jeremiah was old enough to understand, he knew that
God had a plan for his life. Do you wish you knew what God wanted from you today?
In fact, you and I do have a word from God! Ephesians
1:4 says, "Just as He chose us in Him
before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before
Him." Jesus Christ has set His church aside from before creation. He knew your
name before time, and has called you and me to be holy and blameless.
You may have to work out the details of today, but the broad scope
of your calling is clear. Live holy and blameless!
