In
the last few years, there has been a surge in the science of personal communication
devices. Smaller phones and radios are released at an astounding rate. The miniaturization
of these fancy little walkie-talkies has been limited by needing input buttons
large enough to use them. Now the newest mini digital devices understand what
you say so you don't even have to have a key.
If you have the means, you can buy a wristwatch phone or place the
entire receiver inside your ear, where no one even knows you are wearing it. A
computer display can be directly in front of your eye attached to your glasses.
Our ability to communicate with people is exploding, but are we listening to what
God has to say?
The writer of Hebrews wrote "in these last days (God) has spoken to
us in His Son... " (Hebrews
1:2 ). That is what Christmas is really all about.
It is God speaking to us through His Son. He is saying, "I love you!" Verse 3
then explains that Jesus Christ has also revealed the Father to us. You want to
get to know your Heavenly Father? You need to know the Son better.
Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, but
it is also a remembrance of the living God communicating with a lost world. Have
you received His message? He is saying, "I love you! Accept
my love."
